oH bOy!

mom doing laundry + quietness of baby = bad situation!!
Kohen figured how to dump EVERYTHING from the garbage can in the bathroom to the toilet.

(Don't worry I'm not lucky enough for that to be a turd in the toilet... it's just a whoppin' heap of Trav's and Kohen's hair from their BUZZ FEST the other night!! A lot more fun for me to clean out than just flushing a turd. Just one more reason for me to rant over the dreaded haircut!) OH HAPPY DAY!!
**NOTE TO SELF: never leave the bathroom door open with a bored toddler around!!

Kohen's first haircut...tear...

I know, I made a huge mistake!! I let Trav talk me into letting him give Kohen his first haircut (ok it was more of a buzz than a trim like he told me.) It's better if we don't talk too much about it, I'm quite depressed. Trav told me he would use the longest attachment so it would just take off a little. Nope, not the case. He's pretty much bald. Oh boy I hope it grows back fast. I want his mohawk back!!
(ok look at that hair, I admit he did need a little haircut. BUT A BUZZ?)

Dad gave him the haircut, I just cleaned it up after it was too late to save his lucious locks!

A few randoms

This is what happens when dad babysits...

(he ends up with socks on his hands and feet so he slips and slides all over the floor)

Kohen likes to play hide and go seek now. Especially under the sink.
Ok, look at that crazy hair. Hence the reason for his haircut that I'm so depressed about.

A little more of Peoria

I know this post is super late but a couple of these pictures are really cool so I wanted to share them all with you. While in Peoria visiting ma and pa we went to Carthage Jail again. It was a very spiritual and touching experience everytime we go there. It is so awesome.
That's Grandma and Kohen outside of the jail.

That top window behind us is the window Joseph Smith fell out of when he was killed by the mob.

How cool are these picutres? That is dad sitting in the window that Joseph Smith fell out of, but the picture is taken through the actual bullet hole in the door that killed Hyrum. What a powerful picture!

That's our little fam through the bullet hole and the famous window!

Our fam... Trav, me, Kohen. Dad and Mom. Tish and Trevor.

DA BEARS!!

I have never been in weather sooo cold!! We went to the Chicago Bears game on Monday night. It was a very fun and exciting game but it was also a record breaking game. Not only did rookie Matt Forte rush for the most yards as a rookie, but it was the COLDEST home Bears game in history. Yep that's right weighing in at a -12 degrees. I think I had 4 layers of pants on including snow pants, and 6 layers up top!! No joke I have never felt anything so cold, it was piercing! Tish and I were laughing at the weather warnings the news kept flashing on t.v. about not going outside with exposed skin if you didn't have to... well folks that warning was no joke! We sat out in that weather for 6 hours watching da Bears beat the Packers in overtime and then I found a little frost bite the next day. OUCH! It was such a fun game to go to with my dad to watch our favorite Bears. Don't worry we left Kohen at the hotel with Nana and Aunt Tish while Trav, Trevor, Dad, and I went to the game! Here's just a few picutres of us...

Nice look Pa!

We almost didn't get in... Dad lost the tickets about 3 times in 15 minutes. Trav was the lifesaver. Thanks for keeping him in check Trav.

Dad and Trevor

They advertised ice cold drinks... fancy that... all they had was bottled water that turned to ice in the first 20 minutes of the game if you dind't drink it (the fountain drink machine was frozen), or the drink of choice except for the only 4 non-drinking fans, (trav, trev, dad, and myself) was ice cold beer. Literally speaking ICE cold beer.

Me & Trav just trying to keep warm!

Dad and Trevor

I love you Walt!

Pre-game. Why am I the only one up? Oh yeah, the rest were snuggling each other to keep warm! Go Bears!!

no more MIA... hopefully

I know I have been MIA for a while, but with finals and all I told myself I couldn't blog because I swear this blogging world is a huge black hole that consumes way too much of my time. Does anyone else feel the same? Once I start looking at everyone's blog, 3 hours have gone by that I will never get back and for what? guilty spying pleasure!...
Anyway now that finals are done we have a semi normal life back, if only I can get my camera sent back to me now I can continue with this exciting life of mine. ha!

Last night Kami, Alli, baby Jordyn, and myself finally got together to do dinner which we have been trying to do for about 3 weeks! It was a fun and crazy time like always! Of course Kohen just wanted to get his lips on his girlfriend Jordyn. They will be the cutest couple ever one day!!! I love you girls!

Wow it's been a while so here's a few things we've been up to:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Kohen and daddy playing in the leaves:

Lots more things have happened that I'll just list mostly for journaling purposes:
I ran the 5k turkey trot and beat my last time. YAY!
Saw Twilight twice. I think I love it, but each time I see it I have mixed feelings
UTES beat BYU!
Megan and I pulled an all-nighter and did the midnight mall shopping on black Friday
(we were so tired but it was SO worth it!! We couldn't stop laughing waiting in line at Kohls, Target, and Old Navy in the rain. What were we thinking?)
Kohen is sprouting 2 more giant teeth! The upper ones.
Kohen can now stand by himself, but it never ends well, usually resulting in a new bump on his head because he is still really wobbly or ends up head butting the end table.
We no longer have anyone living in our basement!! Home-Sweet-Home!
Peyton came home from the hospital!!!

We've been busy busy the last few weeks and haven't had time to even think about blogging, so here's just a little of the exciting things we have been up to. Finals are coming up, so maybe we'll have a little more free time after them.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Oh, so you do track and field?

I ran my first 5K this weekend with Kami!! It was such a rush. Megan and I have been running everyday (packing up the kids in the jogging stroller is a lot harder than you think, after bundling them and making sure they have snacks and drinks and blankets)We head off for our run, to train for our first 5K that we were all suppose to run this weekend but Peyton ended up getting really sick and ended up in the PICU at Primary Children's. It is the saddest thing, but he is stable and doing good right now. He is in our prayers every day! WE LOVE YOU PEYTON!! (you'll have to check out Megan's blog for updates!) So Meg didn't come with us but Kami and I still went down to St. George to run it. It was so much fun and we did so good!! Our goal was just to finish the race and we thought we could do it in about 45 minutes... well we finished alright at an all-star time of 29:49!!! Wahoo for us!! We rocked it. We are getting ready for our next one... the turkey trot, in just 2 weeks.
It was early and we were still a little sleepy... I forgot I had a seatbelt on

Pre-race

Coming around the last stretch

Trav clocked our time, but he was a second behind. We crossed the line at 29:49!

My biggest fan was there at the finish line waiting for me!!

We were busy this week playing all over town!
Chantel and I went to Gardner Village to get some pictures of the boys to send to mom and dad for Halloween. It was quite the adventure I think we got about 3 pictures out of 200 where both boys are acutally looking at the camera. Kohen just wanted to climb on Tennison any time we set them next to each other.
Oh the cutest Hooter I have ever seen!

Tennison the turtle and Kohen the Hooter

I think Kohen got lost in his puffy vest.

Oh I love that little man!

On Friday we went to the pumpkin patch with the Howell's. They had tons of perfect pumpkins, tractors to climb on, and a corn maze for the boys to go through.
Awh, family picture

What to do with all these pumpkins? Kohen didn't know what to do...

Kohen just loves Peyton! Look at how cute he is with his arm around Peyt!

Then on Saturday we headed up to the BYU game to tailgate with the Jackson's. For those of you who have been up there you know what I mean when I say they don't mess around! Chris brings up his extra satelite and t.v. to watch other college games on, and they always have a gormet menu. They have 2 grill going making a 4 course meal. It truly is amazing! Thanks Chris! Their tailgating alone almost converted me to a BYU fan, things were going so well Meg convinced me to buy this shirt (crap dad close your eyes, this picutre alone may make you get up and leave your mission to come home and punish your delinquent child) anyway, all was well until we got to our seats and I had to sit next to real BYU fans!! I lasted about a quarter and a half but this guy in front of us (typical annoying BYU fan) would not shut up!!! Yelling at the refs like they could really hear him, and narrating every move like he should be down there calling the plays. I wanted to punch him in the back of the head so bad but Trav kept me contained. I even kept my mouth shut and didn't even say a bad word to him!! Oh what blessings come when you have so many family members serving missions!! Thanks Dal, Mom, Dad, and Cade!! (it only took 4 but hey I'm improving with each day :) If I did have to evalute the cougar experience I would say it went pretty well, BUT I STILL BLEED RED!!!

Lastly we had a family Halloween party. Since Kohen was our Hooter I figured Trav and I could be Hooter girls. I ordered Trav a pair of hot orange shorts, but sadly enough they didn't get here in time for this party. :( I hope they get here before Halloween. So here is a picture of our boring costumes. Good thing Kohen makes up for our lack of costumes!
